The pilot,
in numbers

Your criteria from 2 November, run against real data: how many companies need recruiters right now, who we would contact, how many qualified leads that gives your rep, and what it costs.

Counts pulled the same day

No adjectives. Every number here comes from a count, and the method is at the bottom.

01

What you asked for

Your email of 2 November, in your words. These are the filters behind every number on this page.

  • Ideal size. Mid market, $200M to $1B.
  • Verticals. Tech, Healthcare, Industrial, Education, Private Equity, Financial Services.
  • Hiring. 50 plus open roles, or hiring recruiters.
  • Nice to know. Took in capital over the last 12 months.
  • Location. US, Europe, LatAm, Canada.
  • Entry point. Director or VP of Talent, VP of HR.

And what you told us about the first offer:

You said

"$3,000 a meeting. Those economics don't jump me out of my seat."

Now: a flat fee per qualified lead, capped, or a lower monthly fee. Both are in section 05.

You said

"There's no skin in the game if you don't hit it."

Now: under option A, no lead delivered means no lead fee.

You said

"I don't know the caliber or quality of the lead."

Now: a written definition of a qualified lead, and the exact pool and titles behind it.

02

What we found

In the US and Canada, 1,157 companies in your range are hiring hard right now. That is about 1 in 16.

  • 18,500Companies with $200M to $1B revenue in your six verticals, US and Canada. Staffing and recruiting firms removed.
  • 6,308Posted at least one job in the last 30 days.
  • 903Have 50 or more open roles.
  • 424Are hiring a recruiter.
  • 1,157Have a hiring signal: 50 plus roles, or a recruiter role, or both. 1,084 in the US, 73 in Canada.
  • 755Of those, companies where we found an HR or Talent leader to contact.

By vertical:

Private Equity530111.9%
Total18,5009034241,1576.3%

Healthcare and Tech hire hardest. Nearly 1 in 10 healthcare companies in range shows a signal. If you want one territory first, these two are where we would start.

Private Equity: one question. Only 53 PE firms sit in your revenue band, because PE firms are small. Did you mean companies owned by PE firms? That is a different and much bigger list.

03

Who we contact

The entry point is the biggest lever. At many mid market companies, the person who owns recruiting is a Talent Acquisition Manager.

We found the HR and Talent leaders at the 1,157 signal companies and grouped them in three levels. Each level includes the one before it.

LEVEL A

207

Your exact titles. Director or VP of Talent, VP of HR or People. At 163 companies.

LEVEL B

687

A, plus Directors of HR and Chief People Officers. At 494 companies.

LEVEL C

1,653

B, plus Talent Acquisition Managers and other HR managers. At 755 companies.

The question for you: are Talent Acquisition Managers and CPOs or CHROs acceptable entry points? It is the difference between about 4 qualified leads in 8 weeks and about 28.

04

What the pilot produces

At level C and our expected reply rate: about 28 qualified leads in 8 weeks, 3.5 a week. Close to your 4.

How many we can reach:

86%

reachable, with a verified email or a mobile (43 of 50 sampled)

78%

with a mobile, for SMS (39 of 50)

56%

with a verified email (28 of 50)

Reply rate means positive replies per person contacted, across email, LinkedIn and SMS. We have not rounded anything up.

What counts as a qualified lead

A positive reply from an HR or Talent leader at a signal company, who agrees to a call or asks for one, handed to your rep in Salesforce or Slack within the hour.

It is a reply, not a held meeting. Booking and holding the meeting is in your rep's hands, so we do not charge on it. Your rep replies the same business hour and follows up 3 times in 5 days.

05

Price for 8 weeks

Two ways to pay. Pick the one that fits how you want to share the risk.

Option A · Skin in the game

$6,000

build fee, plus $750 per qualified lead. The total never goes above $12,000. No lead, no lead fee.

Option B · Flat monthly

$4,000 to $5,000

a month for the 2 months, $8,000 to $10,000 in total. One number, no per lead billing.

What each lead costs you, at level C:

OptionCautious, 14 leadsExpected, 28 leadsBest, 43 leads
A, capped at $12,000$857$429$279
B, $8,000 total$571$286$186
B, $10,000 total$714$357$233

Against your numbers: one new client is worth about $36,000 in margin to your division ($35 to $45 an hour, 160 hours a month, 6 months). The most this pilot can cost is $12,000.

Included either way: the list, the signals, the contact data, sending domains and warm up kept separate from zrgpartners.com, copy you approve before anything sends, and every lead in Salesforce or Slack within the hour. The list, the workflows and the copy stay with ZRG.

06

Why this is a floor

Every number above is what we could count today. The real pool is bigger.

Not counted yet:

Europe and LatAm

You asked for them. About 21,000 more companies are in range before the jobs step. Not counted yet.

30 to 49 open roles

557 more companies in the US and Canada sit just under your 50 line.

New signals each month

The signal is a 30 day window. Companies cross 50 roles or open a recruiter role every month, so the list refills during the pilot.

Contacts not found yet

No HR or Talent leader was found at 402 of the 1,157 signal companies. A second data source can add them.

Jobs our data misses

Our job data finds fewer posts than LinkedIn shows, often less than half in an October check. Some 50 plus companies are counted as smaller.

No revenue on file

Companies without revenue data could not be placed in your $200M to $1B band, so they are left out.

07

How we counted

Step 1

Companies. 47 industries mapped to your six verticals. Staffing, recruiting, HR services and executive search removed, plus any company describing itself as a staffing or talent firm. Headquarters in the US or Canada. Revenue $200M to $1B, with 201 to 10,000 employees as a check. Duplicates removed by website: 2,254 rows.

Step 2

Hiring signal. Every job each company posted in the last 30 days, in the US or Canada, matched by the company's LinkedIn page. A signal means 50 plus open roles, or a role with talent acquisition, recruiter, recruiting, recruitment, sourcer or head of talent in the title.

Step 3

Decision makers. HR and Talent leaders at the signal companies, US and Canada, sorted into levels A, B and C by title.

Step 4

Reach. 50 people, one per company, spread across levels and verticals, checked for a verified email and a mobile. 43 of 50 were reachable. A check in October found 20 of 20 sampled mobiles real and working.

Step 5

Leads. Reachable people times a positive reply rate of 1%, 2% or 3%. Nothing else is assumed.

08

Next step

Three answers from you, then we build the list.

  1. 01Entry point. Level A only, or are TA Managers and CPOs or CHROs fine (level C)?
  2. 02Price. Option A, the build fee plus $750 per lead capped at $12,000, or option B at $4,000 to $5,000 a month?
  3. 03Private Equity. PE firms, or companies owned by PE firms?
Week 1

Sign. Sending domains start warming the same day, separate from zrgpartners.com.

Weeks 1 to 3

The list built to your answers, contacts verified, copy written for your approval.

Week 4

Outreach live on email, LinkedIn and SMS.

Weeks 4 to 8

Qualified leads to your rep within the hour. A number every Friday.
